Your personal Vanq/Guardian builds
Sort of on the verge of going crazy after finishing up Guardian/Vanq for Elona, and was curious on what you guys find useful for vanquishing and guardian, build wise. I mainly used BHA/epidemic interupts for every area I went too, except for a selected few.

Modified Discordway and skills in it (6 optional skills per bar = win) to suit each area I went into.

I fiddle with my build depending on the area I am in. But my must haves are Prepared Shot, Pain Inverter, Ebon Vanguard Sniper Support, and Signet of Infection.

Discord with only very sllight changes.
Or for areas like noob island in NF i used sabsway because it seemed easier to have master curse all the melee creatures to death than discording them one by one.

Depends, my sin uses 2 N/Rt's and a RoJ with SoH
Rit uses 2 N/Rts and a Rt/N ExploderMM
the RoJ and ExploderMM are interchangeable with like Teases, Eles, Bonders etc.
I feel i have a pretty versitile build for VQ's and mishs

I used Discord for the earlier areas some, and RoJWay for areas with more undead and demons. I took the 2 Ele Henchies and the two Monk Henchies.
On my Ranger I carried:
Dwarven Stability
Lightning Reflexes
Triple Chop
Cyclone Axe
Whirlwind Attack
Apply Poison
D-Strike
Save Yourselves!
I hold the Aggro and poison everything with the multiTarget attacks, each of my Discords have a "and adjacent Foes" hex so that imediatly eveything in Hexed and Conditioned so they can Discord like crazy, though I find it still needs a tad of micro at times.
With RoJWay I have Strengh of Honor and Judges Insight on a hero and apply it to myself and again I hold aggro while they Jesus Beam, smite hex/smite Condi stuff to death. Demons and Undead die very much fast.
Sure its not a TRUE Ranger build, But LR lasts 24 secs and I can spam attacks all day with no worries on energy while wearing full survivors armor. Plus I feel the Holding of aggro/tanking is important to keep the bad things off of the H/H's and with the 3 multi Target attacks I can spam "SY" with ease.

So, mainly you guys use Discord builds with your own personal unique ranger builds. Which is nice, not creative enough for me though! Except that cyclone axe build I seen someone post here seems pretty wicked, and good enough for a laugh or two! That Volley/SY seems kind of interesting as well. As for splinter/barrage, I can't stand it. To me, its a worthless bar(sorry if I offend someone, this is MY personal opinion).
Should consider trying out a few hybrid builds, I might jst do that later tonight.

I don't do a great deal of PvEing with my Ranger any more since I got majority of his titles and he's just left with Drunkard, so most of my builds I use tend to be PvE skill heavy as I never used them much.
With the new Strength of Honor it's also fun to run a R/D Wounding Scythe build in PvE effectively. I've tested it have been able to vanquish a number of areas easily with it, again it's not very Ranger-like.
I mainly use this for something to do on my Ranger when he's drunk, so instead of Drunken Master you could perhaps run Lightning Reflexes with Dwarvern Stability or a running stance.
Wounding Strike (e)
Mystic Sweep
Victorious Sweep
Lyssa's Assault
Optional/Throw Dirt/Antidote Signet/Running stance/Dwarvern Stability
Drunken Master/Lightning Reflexes
Great Dwarf Armor
Aura of Holy Might
12 Scythe & 14 Expertise, best to run either: Survivor, Sentry or Blessed insignias.
If I'm running a R/Me BHA Epidemic I basically use:
Distracting Shot
Savage Shot
Volley
Broad Head Arrow (e)
Epidemic
Pain Inverter
Summon Ice Imp - I like the Water Snares.
Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support
Got a few R/Rt and other builds but nothing special.

i vanq'ed all 4 chapters of GW with the following build and sabway (just as you find on pvxwiki)...with only one or two substitutions of an ele or other damager when MoW was less than useful (verata's gaze mobs, lack of bodies, etc.), and subbed out EVAS with EBSS for multi healer horsey and summit groups in the shiverpeaks :
[Pain Inverter][Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support][Finish Him!][Lightning Reflexes][Broad Head Arrow][Distracting Shot][Savage Shot][Needling Shot] or sometimes [Flesh of My Flesh] instead of needling
was using a lot of pie/apples/cookies, etc. along the way just to work on sweet title and the extra energy, IMS, IAS and MB was nice, too

I had vanquished only a few areas so far in Elona, using sabway heroes and a barrage/pet build.
I started to work on my ranger again recently with this build:
Asuran Scan
Triple Shot
Penetrating Attack
Weaken Armor
Body Shot
Glass Arrows
Zojun's Haste
"I am the strongest!'
I am usually running with Master of Whispers as a Jagged MM, Livia working as a Divert Hexes prot monk with Animate Bone Fiend and Gwen as an interrupter.
This team set up has worked nice for me so far. Though I have not yet tried it in too many areas.

I used same config on 80% of the areas. My heroes are almost always :
- Prot (AoF + 2 mesmer interrupts ) /Healer (HB + hex removal )
- Morgan ( cautery sig , soldier fury when i take sogolon ) for "they are on fire"
- Olias Jagged MM ( sometimes prot spirit + guardian/reversal of dmg or foul feast , smite cond/hex )
My build except for heavy casters areas ( in wich i go BHA epidemic ) is based on Inc Arrows , Dshot , Pve Skill x2 ( mostly EVA and "ymlad !" ) and random preparation ( most of the time rapid fire ). With these builds and the right henchies , rolls over all damage and most of the zones.

Breaking the mold. I go "balanced"
Heroes:
WoH or UA Heal spammer (unlike most maintained enches, heroes do UA really well!)
Jagged bomber MM
Variable - BHA/Interrupting Ranger, Ineptitude spamming mes, etc...
Fill out with the normal henchies (second healer, etc...)
And I usually run my Ranger Turret build:
Expert's focus
Asuran Scan
"I am the strongest!"
Prepared Shot
Sundering Attack
Penetrating Attack
Needling Shot
[Optional]
Works out pretty good in most areas I've used it (It seems to fail epicly against the Charr in Charr Homelands though, I admit). And I have to agree with Papalopopudoculous. 100-200 per arrow is sooo gratifying.
